• Our use of the Integrated Model reflects our functional approach to aural rehabilitation

• The unique aspect of this approach is that it addresses the impact of hearing loss on communication as a whole 

 

• Integration is reflected in that the communication areas impacted by hearing loss are individually & simultaneously addressed.

 

• Working on multiple communication skill areas (training in listening, lipreading/speechreading, communication strategies, etc.) to meet the varying needs of hard-of-hearing, deaf, Deaf individuals. 

 

• Skill areas addressed are determined via a combination of client input, pre-assessment measures, and evaluation.

Services are available to adults with cochlear implants, as well as those with & without hearing aids.
